Intense journeys designed to renew our bonds with the feminine wisdom within and to share  the secrets  that will keep us healthy, beautiful, and connected to our sacred source of  creativity.   Participants of all ages are welcome to share and give light to the different issues related to the various stages in women’s lives.

Session 2 (Free)

Guayusa Circle

 

 

10-12:00

From within, and beyond.

A ceremony to celebrate the Feminine Spirit with the mediation of the Guayusa Spirit.

 

Open to women of all ages (Infants and toddlers welcome)

 

  • A casual gathering sharing tea and talk

  • Circle opens with quieting and centering

  • Share guayusa herbal tea. Learn its history and uses, such as asking for the presence of the guayusa spirit to help us clarify our innermost needs and desires. (Guayusa is a very common, household herb. It is NOT hallucinogenic.)

  • Sharing our needs and desires, if you desire to.

  • Presented in Spanish and English, so we can get to know the language of women from both North and South America, words such as trust, Universe, Mother Earth, breathe, relax, connect, sadness, grief, anger, lost, friendship, family, lover, sex, tears, joy, and love. 

 

Invited guest: Onani (Meg Carver) apprenticed with Grandmother Keewaydinoquay, an Ojibway ethnobotanist of the Great Lakes region. She also teaches Indigenous Healing at Holos University. Onani is currently in Ecuador for doctorate research on the Indigenous uses of medicinal mushrooms. She is especially delighted to work with Alex, sharing plant knowledge from the Northern and Southern Hemispheres.

In addition to the demonstrations and samplings, there will be detailed recipes provided in each session of various teas, syrups, concoctions, ointments, tinctures.  These will be available on the website for your convenience prior to scheduled session.
