Connecting with the healing power of Native Ecuadorian Plants
Walking ID Tours
Discover the closest source of joy and health by walking along the shores of Cuenca's rivers; both, within the urban area and in the outskirts. A range of 15 to 40 different medicinal and edible species can be identified on an average 90 minute walk, depending on the time of the year. This is partly a foraging experience where we can bring home seeds and plantlets of abundantly growing species (such as marco, chilca and physalis) to start a native plant garden and help recover our depleted bird population by attracting and providing them with abundance of berries and seeds. Bring your cameras, drawing pencils or any other form of memory-aid device to initiate yourself in the art of plant loving and healing.
