Connecting with the healing power of Native Ecuadorian Plants
“EVIL WEEDS, GOOD COMPANY”
A three session, hands-on workshop, aimed at discovering the healing power of twelve different weeds and plants (most of them edible!) that grow spontaneously in our gardens or any patch of urban soil.
Session 1. Tonic, nutritious, and detoxifying.
Identify the team of 4 herbs which generously grow in your garden to help you detoxify your kidneys, liver, adrenal and lymphatic system, while providing you with a boost of energy through their adaptogenic qualities.

Kindness takes the form of emollients in the plant world. They soothe and calm, both internally and externally. Their action is beneficial on all tissues, relieving inflammation, pain, itching and dryness. They can be applied directly on the skin, or taken as teas or syrups for throat, bronchial, urinary and gastric issues. Learn about the Plantago family, plus wild flax, violets, pansies, mallows, and the Number One Andean ancient flavoring: Tsintsu, a powerful herb, great for stomach ailments and for energy healing.
Get ready to prepare and take away your:
-
Emollient plantain balm
-
Violet jelly drops
-
Good Guts tea
Plus, sample our Tsintsu dip with flax crackers.
Session 3. Tart, antioxidant and astringent fruit and flowers.
The gift of youth comes (carried by the wind or spread by birds) with the antioxidant power of wild fruit and berries. Helpful for healthy heart and brain, urinary and uterine system, as well for your skin.
As a great addition to this group, we will include some of those species that grow on cliffs and rooftops, and seem to thrive based on their energetic relationship to air. The Kalanchoes, a variety of which -at a local level- has mistakingly been called Dulcamara. And last, but not least, Jamaica and begonia flowers.
Get ready to prepare and take away your:
-
3.5 Rose spray lotion
-
AA sitz bath mix
-
